This oily (pommade means ointment) contains 0.12% of the mildest forms of vitamin A, called retinol esters. 0.12% of retinol esters is not the same as a 0.1% of pure retinoic acid.

Beneficial for:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Pigmentation (also for post-acne marks)
  • Acne, oily skin, blackheads
  • Actinic keratosis

 

Application:

  • Apply in the evening to clean, dry skin.
  • Gently massage into wrinkles and fine lines.
  • Can be mixed with a moisturiser for added hydration.

Precautions:

  • Not suitable for sensitive skin, open sores, or infections.
  • Avoid combining with other vitamin A medications to prevent overdose.
  • Use sparingly to reduce the risk of hypervitaminosis A.
  • Do not apply on large areas of skin, broken skin, or mucous membranes.
  • Avoid use during pregnancy unless necessary and never with other vitamin A products.
  • Do not apply to breasts during breastfeeding to prevent ingestion by the newborn.

Avoid retinol products if you have a sunburn, broken skin or other skin irritations. Use SPF 30 and wear sun protective clothing and hats to reduce your exposure to the sun. Ask your healthcare provider about the best time to apply moisturizer as part of your skincare routine.
